People have attempted to make meaning of the things that have happened in their life in every culture and civilization. Many people find solace and an explanation for both positive and negative experiences in the ideas of karma and destiny.

The idea of karma holds that a person's deeds, whether good or evil, will ultimately come back to haunt them. Though many individuals who are not religious also believe in it, it has strong roots in religions including Buddhism, Jainism, and Hinduism. While someone who harms others would anticipate misfortune or repercussions in the future, someone who helps others might think they will be treated kindly in return.

It is believed that life events are predetermined or designed to occur, on the other side, is known as destiny. Even during difficult circumstances, people who believe in destiny frequently assume that everything happens for a greater reason. This idea that everything happens for a reason might help people find serenity in trying times.

These beliefs appeal to people for a variety of reasons. While some find optimism in believing in fate, others believe that karma teaches moral responsibility. Both concepts aid people in overcoming obstacles and understanding life's ups and downs in an uncertain world.

Even if karma and destiny are not proven by science, people's perceptions of the universe and their place in it are nevertheless greatly influenced by these concepts. Many people still wonder if we are writing our own destiny or if it has already been written, whether this is due to personal experience, cultural teachings, or spiritual beliefs.
